Prints and prices

Mary Katrantzou’s uplifting designs and digital prints have influenced and continue to influence many different aspects of the fashion industry. Her signature prints and sense of colour create stand out pieces with bold shapes and contrasting hues. It’s not only her luxurious use of print but also the breathtaking cut of her dresses and garments that make her designs one of a kind. The cut not only flatters the wearer but becomes the ultimate canvas. Her SS13 collection shows inspiration from bank notes and postage stamps, in which Katrantzou proves that she can create an astounding print out of simple items that we use in our day to day lives. Her influence on the fashion industry has travelled through to the high street where recreations of her vivid style and digital prints can be found in many different stores. During early 2012 however Katrantzou’s vibrant prints found their way to the high street with her Topshop capsule collection at more affordable prices, continuing her influence on the fashion industry.

I've found alot of inspiration for myself and own work through this collection so I thought i'd share it here.

Bundles of love,
