A Dark day in Salford with The SmithsMonday, January 02, 2017
In order to celebrate 30 years since the release of The Queen is Dead album, The Lowry held an exhibition of the photographs Stephen Wright had taken of The Smiths, including 'one of the most famous photos in pop' that Wright is famed for. Anyone who knows me knows I am a huge fan of the band, who truly have a real importance to me, so I was really glad to catch a viewing of this in sunny Salford. The exhibition, although small, was a good size and featured some really great shots, including the famous Salford Lads Club scene. One of my personal favourites I found was the above shot of a postcard from Moz himself - I mean look at that signature.
